Disneyland!

Thursday March 1st we flew out to California for a weekend of Disneyland and Cheer competitions.

Friday we woke up early and spent the day at Disneyland and California Adventures

Saturday Morning was a serious dream come true.  We woke up early so we could get  to the park right when it opened.  When we got there it seemed crowded so we hurried into our favorite rides.  We decided to do Indiana Jones first.  We got off the first time and realized there was no line so we went again.  After getting off for the second time we realized there was still no line.  We thought that was crazy for a Saturday morning and we better take advantage of it so we went a third time where we just walked on.  We were all high on life that we just got to walk on to Indiana Jones three times on a Saturday morning.  As we were planning out where to go next since we knew it would be getting crowded we heard the workers say "do you know how long lock downs usually last?"  I turned to my family and said please tell me you heard that.  That's right.... we were locked inside Disneyland.  We had the whole park pretty much to ourselves!
Here we are showing there was no one around.  By this time with was about 9:30-10.  Seriously how did this happen to us?!  Of course that didn't stop us from booking it from one ride to the next.  We just couldn't get over the fact we were walking on to every single ride.
My dad begged us to do the cars since they always have an insane line.  When the ride was finished the workers asked if we just wanted to stay on and go again.  We all turned back to my dad who was shaking his head no.  Turns out this ride is not a very fun one.  Good thing we had to waste zero time waiting to get on it.

The best was that the characters where just roaming around, riding the rides, and of course stopping for pictures.

Our favorite one.  FLYNN from Tangled.  We were so so excited!

The park happened to open right as we were leaving for Madie's competition.  The timing couldn't have been better.  I still to this day can't get over the fact that we just got to walk on to Space Mountain and stay on it after because there was not a single person in line to ride it.  This next picture is blurry but it is the only one I have of us with Mads.  They did amazing!  It was so fun to watch and they placed 2nd.  We love you Mads!
That night we went back and guess who we got to play with?!  Tally!!  Such a treat to have him.

And it just kept getting better.  After we had dinner we met up with Brynne and Tanner.  They are the best couple and we were so excited to get to see them.  This California trip definitely makes my top 5 vacations.

And he's off

Saturday March 24th I was able to give David his last haircut before the mission!  We are so thrilled for him and are so happy for the choice he has made to serve a mission.  We were able to attend his farewell the next day where he spoke and sang.  It was such an amazing meeting.  Mike and I both felt so blessed to be able to attend and feel the amazing spirit that was present.

Colorado

For Presidents Day Mike didn't have school and I didn't work so we decided we had to go somewhere fun.  Of course Colorado was our first thought!  Ricky and Tisha were so great to let us stay with them.  I love every chance I get to spend time with that family.  We decided to drive there and were so eager we started the trip pretty early you could say:)  Yes that says 3:20 and that is 3:20 AM

This is what  I got to walk in to.  I seriously am so obsessed with these boys.
Moo Face and Michael reading a book.  Mike is honestly the cutest.  I can't wait to see the kind of Dad he is going to be.
The whole way down Mike couldn't stop talking about how excited he was to see Merrick.  He is one of Mike's all time favorites.  I am right there with him.  How could you not love this boy.
Emerson and I had a great time building forts together.
One of my favorite parts was Saturday night.  The boys had play group so we got to play with just Ricky and Tisha!!  It was the best.  We went to a fun place where we got to play games and eat dinner (Tisha I can't remember what the place is called for the life of me!).  I love my nephews but it was so nice to get to have some time with Ricky and Tisha.  We sure do miss those boys but we miss them just as much.  They were the best hosts and we can't wait to get back over there
The boys birthday was the following week so Sunday we had a party for them.  Tisha's family was able to come and it was so fun to see them.  Look how cute my Finlay bug is!
Monday we were planning on staying until late afternoon but the weather was really bad so we ended up having to leave around noon.  Since it was the boys soon to be birthday we celebrated at Red Robin before we left.  Cute Emerson eating his free dessert.

 Moo Face and Michael

Thank you so so so much Ricky and Tisha!  We had so much fun spending time with you and your family.  Ricky was so great he was able to come to lunch with us Monday and went into work late.  Thank you for pushing your life back a few hours so we could spend more time with you.  We appreciate it so much and miss you guys!

Walker Cabin

We love any chance we get to go up to the Walker Cabin.  This time was such a bitter/sweet moment as we knew it was going to be the last time we could all be together for a while with us moving, Meg going on a mission, and Ty getting ready to go on a mission.  It was sure fun and man how I love the Walker family.  Here is Jamie and three of her cute kids. Seriously Mike and I always talk about how we would die if our kids could look as cute as all of hers.
This is Mike and Ty snow boarding on a rail they made one weekend.  Mike is on the left and Ty is on the right.

All the little kids wanted a turn on the rail and couldn't get over the fact that they couldn't go on it so all the brothers got together to build a little jump for them.  Such cute Dads/Uncles

Here we are going on the snowmobile.  Sure going to miss the beautiful cabin and snow for the next three years. (Maybe not so much the snow:))

Other December Happenings

Rough Pictures but I had to document that I graduated December 2011 from the University of Utah!!!! I got my BS in Human Development and Family Studies.  I even finished off the semester with another 4.0.  Such a good feeling to know I am all done!

We got to go see David in his Christmas Concert downtown.  It was such a fun concert.  So funny to watch what a different person he is when he performs.  After the concert he announced he was going to serve a full time mission.  It was a very emotional night and we are so happy for him!

Cute little Jonah from Extreme House Makeover done in Draper.  His wish was to sing with David at a Real Salt Lake game and they've been friends every since.  He stole my little heart that night such a cute kid!

Parties Continue

The day after Christmas we went bowling and up to Solider Hollow.  I am seriously so obsessed with Moo face.  Look at those cheeks!

It was so great to have Ricky, Tisha, Doug, and Kim here.  I seriously lucked out with the sister-in-laws.  I love them so much!  They are the greatest.  And its so fun to see how perfect they are for my brothers.
 Moo Face.
All of us up in Midway

We then went to our Midway cabin to have pizza and lounge around.  It was such a fun day to spend with family.  The following day was my parents anniversary and all my mom asked was for all the married children to go to the temple with them.  It was such an amazing experience to be in the Temple with my brothers and parents. I love the Temple and I love the knowledge I gain each time I go.  This gospel sure is an amazing thing.  I'm so grateful to have it be a part of my life.
